Timewarp is a house-bred, sun-grown cannabis strain from GOOD BUDS, a family-run, FVOPA Certified Organic craft producer on Salt Spring Island, BC. It descends from Texada Timewarp, a BC heirloom that originated on Texada Island in the 1970s and survived for decades as a clone-only variety in the Gulf Islands. GOOD BUDS pheno-hunted its version for a dark cherry and orange citrus expression. It is sold as dried flower, pre-rolls and vapes through licensed retailers in BC, Alberta and Ontario.
Core lots test at 28 to 31% THC and 2.9 to 3.4% total terpenes, myrcene-dominant with caryophyllene, linalool, bisabolol and humulene behind it. The crop is planted in living soil, irrigated primarily with rainwater, and harvested once a year from late September to early October.
The Timewarp story
When the original GOOD BUDS mother plants were lost, the team chose to rebuild rather than replace. A small amount of outside genetics was crossed in, then backcrossed over several generations to restore the original Timewarp character while improving potency and vigour. The terpene profile shifted along the way: the lemon and pine often associated with the original gave way to dark cherry and orange zest.
