Mango Cake is a house-bred GOOD BUDS strain: Mango Taffie (LA Affie x Hawaiian, a GOOD BUDS original) crossed with Wedding Cake. It is grown indoors in living soil beds on our family farm on Salt Spring Island, BC, and is FVOPA Certified Organic.
Indoor lots test 28 to 32% THC with 2.4 to 3.2% CBGa and 3.1 to 4.4% total terpenes, terpinolene-dominant.
It is sold as 3.5 g and 7 g flower, pre-rolls, a cured resin AIO vape and a live resin 510 cartridge through licensed retailers in BC and Alberta, and as 3.5 g flower in Ontario.
Genetics, aroma and lab numbers
Mango Taffie came out of the GOOD BUDS breeding programme on Salt Spring Island. It carried a clean tropical mango character but its THC fell behind what consumers expected, so we crossed it with Wedding Cake (Triangle Kush x Animal Mints). Wedding Cake brought bud density, potency and a creamy vanilla finish. The mango came through.
The aroma is sweet mango up front, a fresh citrus top note, and a creamy, vanilla-leaning finish. Indoor lots are terpinolene-dominant, which puts Mango Cake in the same aroma family as Jack Herer, but warmer and more tropical.
Mango Cake is grown indoors in living soil beds under high-efficiency LEDs, with the soil reused and rebuilt between runs. It is our highest-THC strain and the only one with a consistently elevated CBGa reading: 2.4 to 3.2% across every tested lot, where most cultivars test under 1%.
