How Avenue Cannabis Became the North Shore's Go-To for GOOD BUDS

When Avenue Cannabis opened its doors in Ambleside, West Vancouver, over three years ago, the goal was simple: Build the best cannabis shop on the North Shore.

The formula wasn't volume or discounting. It was a curated selection paired with a team that actually knows the product.

Three years later, the North Shore News Readers' Choice Awards agree. Avenue took the title of Best Cannabis Store in 2025, then held onto runner-up in 2026. We spoke with Jadson Tinelli, General Manager at Avenue Cannabis, about how the shop built that reputation, and why GOOD BUDS has become a regular request at the counter.

Their philosophy shows up beyond the counter, too. For the past three years, Avenue's team has taken part in the North Shore Seniors' Health Expo, helping older adults ask cannabis questions they might not feel comfortable raising anywhere else. They also show up at community events across Ambleside and West Vancouver throughout the year; not as a marketing exercise, but because education and reducing stigma form part of their purpose.

Why GOOD BUDS Earned a Spot on Avenue's Shelf

Ask Avenue's team what's moving off the shelf, and GOOD BUDS comes up fast. The brand has built a genuine repeat-customer base in the store. Shoppers come in asking for specific pre-rolls and flower by name, and the vape lineup is now picking up the same kind of following.

"We have plenty of regular customers who come in specifically looking for their favourite GOOD BUDS pre-rolls and flower, and now we're seeing the same excitement around the vape line-up as well. That's usually the best sign that a brand is doing something right: People come back because they trust the quality."

Jadson mentions three things that set GOOD BUDS apart for Avenue Cannabis: It being a local BC producer, an organic grower, and delivering consistency. Customers on the North Shore appreciate knowing their cannabis comes from trusted local sources, reinforcing a sense of pride and connection to the community.
